Pizza without Yeast

Pizza is a savoury dish of Italian origin, consisting of usually round, flattened base of leavened dough topped with veggies like tomato, onion, bell peppers, corn, jalapeños and olives. You can add vegetables of your choice. It has different variations you can also top pizza with meat, chicken breast and other non vegetarian stuff.

Ingredients for pizza base:

  • 1 cup All purpose flour (maida)
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil / any cooking oil
  • 1 tbsp Salt
  • 0.5 cup Yogurt
  • 0.5 tbsp Baking Soda
  • 0.5 tbsp Mixed herbs (optional)
  • 0.5 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 0.5 tbsp Sugar

Ingredients for pizza topping:

  • Pizza pasta sauce (optional)
  • Tomato ketchup
  • Veggies of your choice
  • Paneer or cottage cheese
  • Seasoning
  • Mozzarella Cheese


Process for pizza base:

  • Take all purpose flour in a large bowl. Knead after adding salt, baking powder, baking soda, sugar,yogurt and olive oil. You can add mixed herbs at this step if you want to. Cover your semi soft dough for 10 minutes with cloth.
  • After resting, dust floor with flour and cut dough in 2 parts. Roll with rolling pin like a chapati. Make small pores with a fork. Your base is ready. You can directly bake it or roast it on pan. The choice is totally yours. If you directly bake it with applied pizza apply 1 tbsp oil on base. You can store this base for a week.

Process for pizza:

  • Apply both sauces on base. Grate paneer on it. Now apply veggies. Grate cheese on it. Apply oil in baking tray. Transfer pizza to baking tray. Keep in microwave at conventional mode on 200C for 13 minutes. Your pizza is ready. Cut after resting it for 3 minutes.
